After their travels down from Liverpool to Bristol, both Lyra and Keir were in much need of a good run around a park, letting there imaginations run wild! I met their mum Gemma with her children and Chloe at the local park, armed with floral head-bands, plastic swords, Shrek and bunny ears and tons of fabric, ready to get creative! At first, Keir was very aware of me and was hiding away from the camera (unlike Lyra, who is just like Chloe when it comes to taking photographs, very photogenic!). So I left my camera hanging around my neck and showed him my bag of goodies. He instantly went for the sword, and started pretending to be a pirate on his once climbing frame, now boat. I made sure he was comfortable by joining in, pretending to be a shark in the water, trying to climb his boat - making him laugh and giggle and soon enough, he was comfortable me taking photos, not even noticing that I was and I captured some wonderful moments of his happiness.
Lyra, being older was very easy to photograph. She was prancing around like a butterfly, climbing the highest tree's and helping me get her brother to sit down when needed (what a brilliant older sister!) However, that didn't stop me from joining in on the fun! Myself and Chloe were running around with them both, making sure that they had fun during the whole shoot.
I have never been more happier with my work! The outcomes (yes.... I'm about to big myself up) were impressive, and Gemma the mum was extremely over the moon! (Extra bonus!)
All photos are presented on my portfolio, but here are my favourite photos of Lyra and Keir.

the picture of the girl looks really dreamy. :)
