Chalked hair.

So this craze has been around for awhile, but seeing as my hair is very very dark brown I never thought of attempting it until I ombre'd my hair lighter.

I've had my hair blonde to brown for a month or so now, and usually by now with hair styles and colours, i'm fed up - so this technique of chalked hair sounded super inviting! I've followed The Beauty Department's blog entry on how to do this (as well as using self initiative) to create this colourful 'dip-dye / ombre' look to my own hair.

(I'm not feeling at all well today, so excuse my look, I thought this may cheer me up!)

001: First, I hair-sprayed my hair, so the chalk has something to stick too.

002: Make sure you use something to protect your clothing - I used a old pair of leggings as that's the first item I found!

003: Then brushed the chosen colour chalk down (not up, it will ruin your hair!) the chosen hair strands.

004: Repeat if necessary with other colours and hairspray.

005: To get rid, just wash it out in the shower.

So simple, defiantly a great and cheap way to spice up your hair colour - also a brilliant idea to change hair colours for photo-shoots, something you could do yourself without a hairdresser!

Tell me what you think about this methord - have you done it? Let me know!
